*

Sessions of half-hour instruction are provided only at instructor’s discretion, most often when necessary due to short attention spans in young children or when a secondary instrument is studied.  This restriction ensures that an appropriate amount of lesson time is allocated to each student, thus, that the best results and the highest level of competency possible are achieved.

**

Hourly and half-hourly rates are applied only when deemed necessary due to financial hardship or other extreme circumstances.  Hourly students are required to pay workshop and recital fees, including deposit, but may be denied permission to perform if their instructor feels that an insufficient number of consecutive lessons has been taken prior to workshop dates.  Other restrictions are expressed in the enrollment agreement, below.

***

Deposits are due upon first enrollment and are refunded within 30 days following program termination, except in those circumstances expressed in the enrollment agreement, below.

****

Piano accompanists are required for use during the second half-hour of voice and applicable instrument lessons.  It is during this time that the student will focus on repertoire work, and the instructor must remain focused on the student, rather than on the piano, in order to create the best result.  Accompanists’ fees may be between $10 and $30 for the half-hour.

*****

Other materials may include, but are not limited to, books, stave paper, instruments, recording equipment, metronome, tuner, recital clothing, mileage cost, and location fees.
